National Rankings
How Rankings Are Built
Rankings are derived from our core evaluation process: film analysis, tactical role identification, and performance context. Players are ranked only within their primary positional role, ensuring fair comparison based on specific responsibilities and demands.
Role-Specific Structure
Rankings are organized by defined on-field roles, such as:
-
True No. 6 (Defensive Midfielder)
-
6 / 8 Hybrid Midfielder
-
Attacking Midfielder (10 / Advanced 8)
-
Wingers, Center Backs, Fullbacks, Goalkeepers
This structure ensures players are evaluated against those with the same tactical job.
Intended Use
Our rankings serve as a scouting and analytical reference to support evaluation, development discussions, and professional tracking. They are not recruiting lists, draft projections, or guarantees of outcome.
Our Tiered Model & Updates
Tiered Ranking Model:
We employ a tier-based model (e.g., Elite, High-Level, Emerging) rather than a strict numerical list. This reflects both current performance and realistic upside, acknowledging that development is not linear.
Updates & Movement:
Rankings are updated periodically based on new film, role changes, demonstrated development, or shifts in competitive level. Movement reflects on-field performance, not external attention.
Independence & Transparency
GSA rankings are produced independently. They are never altered for payment or access, and a commissioned evaluation does not influence placement.
Important Context: Rankings are a snapshot in time based on available data and role usage. Absence from a ranking does not imply a lack of quality or potential.
Our Mission for National Rankings
To provide a clear, role-specific, and independent framework for evaluating elite talent—offering scouts, coaches, and analysts a credible reference point that prioritizes on-field impact and professional projection above all else.
