All-Conference Watch Lists

About the GSA Watch Lists

The Global Soccer Analytics (GSA) Watch Lists are forward-looking evaluation tools intended to identify NCAA Division I soccer players who meet specific, objective inclusion criteria for the upcoming collegiate season.

Eligibility & Inclusion Criteria

Players are included on a Watch List if they:

  • Are rostered and NCAA-eligible for the upcoming season.
  • Have earned recognized conference or national honors (All-Conference, major awards, All-Freshman, USC All-Region).

In limited cases, players without formal honors may be included based on performance analysis and projected impact.

What the Watch List Is — and Is Not

Rankings are organized by defined on-field roles, such as:

  • It is: A transparent, honors-based snapshot of returning impactful players.
  • It is not: A ranking, hierarchy, or guarantee of future awards or professional selection.

Exclusion does not reflect a judgment on talent or potential and may be due to eligibility status or lack of qualifying honors.

Updates & Player Status

Lists are dynamic and may be updated only for confirmed reasons:

  • Eligibility changes (graduation, retirement)
  • Long-term injury impacting availability
  • Earning new, officially recognized honors

Changes are not made based on reputation, speculation, or short-term form.

Our Methodology & Internal Analytics

Methodology:
Watch Lists are built using publicly available honors data and official roster information, applying the same standards uniformly across all conferences.

Use of Internal Analytics:
GSA uses internal analytics to contextualize roles and consistency. These serve only as a supplementary validation layer and do not determine inclusion, rank players, or override the established honors-based criteria.

Important Note

This Watch List represents GSA’s baseline preseason evaluation. Player inclusion, positioning, and status may evolve throughout the year based on ongoing performance assessment, film evaluation, role changes, availability, and injury-related factors.

Our Purpose

To provide a consistent, transparent, and objective preseason reference — grounded in verified eligibility and official honors — that highlights returning players who have already demonstrated impact at the conference or national level.
